Marijuana Laws
The law and medical marijuana isn't always so easy and straightforward. We rely on the regulations set by the Government of Canada. This section explains the history of the old MMAR, the revised MMPR and the newly formed ACMPR. This new program effective August 24, 2016 gives you three legal options for your medical marijuana supply in Canada. You can legally grow your own medical cannabis in Canada at home or have a designated producer grow it for you. Thirdly, you can register with a Health Canada approved commercial producer and purchase your medical marijuana legally online and have it shipped directly to your door by bonded courier.

Who is Eligible
Under the (ACMPR) Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations now in effect the decision to use marijuana for medical purposes is now between the patient and physician alone. Within the Greenleaf Medical Clinic a patient must have a prior diagnosis within the past five years from a Canadian physician.
